Tideflex Coarse Bubble Aeration systems are the best coarse bubble diffusers available on the market today. This system was installed in both Digester tanks and the Aerated Grit tank. The Tideflex Check Valves are opened by the flow of air. When the air is turned OFF the Tideflex Check Valve closes tight, keeping the lines free of water and debris. We call these valves "TFA's."
The air line comes from Digester tank #1. It loops above the top of the wall where a quarter turn valve is installed.
The Drop Pipe is stainless steel and is supported half way down the wall.
Tideflex supplies the complete system. A thorough inspection is done on every system at start-up. This ensures that everything works as intended. The last thing any of us wants is to point fingers trying to figure out why something is amiss.
Here we are making sure the valves are all level. The treaded rod makes it easy to adjust.
The floor is sloped for easy drainage. If the floor was level, this shows that the valve is only 4” above the bottom of the floor.
You can see that the air is evenly distributed.
